would suggest that the Southern portion of the Promontory be reserved for such purposes, taking as the Boundary Northward the recently constructed Road running past Mr. May's Camp, with straight extension to the Beach on the Eastward, and a Continuation round the head of the Gully the Westward to the point of land overhanging the Naval Coal Sheds.
The undersigned, in making the above recommendation, wish it to be understood that they do not consider the limits they have indicated as sufficiently extensive, or as including adequate quantity of elevated ground for the erection of private Residences, in addition to the requirements for Commercial purposes; and are of opinion that other eligible ground, not necessarily possessing a Water Frontage, should be reserved to meet
